Brown Sugar Pound Cake 

1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup butter
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt 

Beat together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.stir into creamed mixture. Pour into greased and floured 9x5 loaf pan. Bake at 350 F. For one hour or until cake tests done. Remove from pan and cool on rack.
