Cherry Cake 

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
2 cups flour
8 oz. red glace cherries
2 eggs 

Mix all ingredients, except cherries, well. Fold in cherries. Line loaf pan with waxed paper, and bake at 340 F. For one hour.
