Chocolate Malt Cake
3 oz. unsweetened chocolate 1 2/3 cups flour 2/3 cup malted milk powder 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 3 1/2 sticks butter, room temperature 1 1/3 cups sugar 3 eggs 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 1/4 cups + 2 tbsp. milk 1/2 cup malted milk balls 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa 1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Melt chocolate. Grease and flour 13x9 pan. Combine flour. Malted milk powder, baking powder, soda and salt. Beat 1 1/2 sticks butter with sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time, 1 1/2 teasp. Vanilla and the chocolate. Add flour alternately with 1 1/4 cups milk. Pour into pan and bake at 350 F. Until done, about 35 minutes. Meanwhile, beat 2 sticks butter with 1 teasp. Vanilla. Beat in cocoa, confectioners sugar and 2 tbsp. milk. Frost cooled cake. Chop candy and sprinkle over top.
