Cinnamon Molasses Cake

3/4 cup shortening
1 tsp. cinnamon
2/3 cup sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 cup milk
3/4 cup molasses
2 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp. soda 

Cream shortening, add sugar gradually, beating until light. Then add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each. Add molasses, mixing well. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk, beating until smooth. Pour into 2 round 9" pans, lined on the bottom with paper. Bake at 340 F. 35 to 40 Minutes.
