Creamy Butter Icing 

3/4 cup soft butter
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. cream
1/2 cup shredded coconut
6 cups powdered sugar 

Sift powdered sugar. Blend butter and egg thoroughly.  Add sugar, cream and vanilla, mixing well, until smooth. Add a few drops of food color if desired.  Stir in cream until frosting is slightly stiffer than spreading consistancy for pastry tube use.
