Lemon Pound Cake

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar

Cream butter in 1 cup sugar. Add eggs, and 1 tbsp. Lemon juice, mixing well. Sift salt, flour and baking powder together. Add alternately to creamed mixture with milk. Bake in preheated 325 F. Oven, in well greased 8 1/2x 4 1/2 loaf pan for 1 hour or until golden brown. Mix 1/3 cup lemon juice with remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Use toothpick to make holes in top of cake and drizzle lemon juice/sugar mixture over top of cake when removed from oven.  Delicious served warm.
