Sour Cream Chocolate Cake 

2 cups flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 cup butter
2 eggs
4 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate 

Melt chocolate. Preheat oven to 350 F. Measure all ingredients into large bowl. Beat for 1/2 minute at low speed, scraping the sides of the bowl constantly. Then beat for 3 minutes at high speed. Pour into greased and floured pans: 2 9 inch, or 3 8 inch. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on rack.
